Your future duties and responsibilities:
Contribute to achieving results for Human Resources by providing support to the Benefits team and to HR Advisors in various regions.

 

 

The Advisor - Disability Management and wellness will:

 Improving disability management:
•Suggest improvements to operations and disability process management.
•Monitor supplier performance in managing disabilities to ensure services provided are optimal and propose solutions and areas for improvement, both internally and with suppliers. 
•Develop the team of human resource advisors in the disability prevention and management activities.
•In collaboration with human resource advisors, work with various business managers  to promote best practices for absence management.
•Follow up on stakeholder (employees, employers and unions) satisfaction with management of disability files.
•Develop a dashboard with indicators to monitor the results of disability insurance plans, monitor the indicators and recommend necessary corrective measures.
•Update communication and management tools used by different stakeholders to increase the efficiency of workplace attendance management
Complex case management
•Support and advise the HR team in managing complex cases and their return to work.
•Ensure effective collaboration between Industrial Relations (IR), HR Advisors, managers and suppliers with regard to managing complex cases and their return to work.

 

External partner relationship management:
•Monitor set parameters to ensure contracts are complied with.
•Develop and implement a performance agreement covering the level of service offered by external partners, as well as a regular due diligence review, to measure quality.
•Address gaps in the contract and performance agreement with the section director.
•Based on due diligence results, implement an improvement plan to promote partner responsibility and improvement of their service level.
•Manage problematic files and handle complaints when they arise.

 

Health, wellness and prevention:
•Take part in developing a corporate prevention program.
•Assist with deploying the prevention program adapted to the work context.
•Analyze the results and statistics obtained by suppliers and recommend actions to obtain a better cost/benefit ratio.
•Measure the impact of deploying initiatives in operations.
•Initiate project regarding health wellness prevention and absence management (training, politic, procedures, etc.)

Consultant
•Act as a resource person for employees and HR Advisors on matter regarding YP’s disability management policies and practices.

 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

•Degree in a related field (human resources, administration, etc.).
•Minimum of two years of experience in disability management, primarily in managing complex cases.
•Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders in the disability management process, including external partners.
•Understanding of a union environment.
•Understanding of best practices in prevention and workplace health and wellness.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Power Point
•Bilingualism required.
•Autonomous.
•Results-oriented;
•Demonstrate sound judgement, objectivity and discernment.
•Discipline, organizational skills and initiative.
•Priority management skills.
