As a Director - Training and Development, you are responsible for working in collaboration with the various departments to identify the different training needs and develop strategy and content on both skills and behaviours according to best market practices. You will manage a team of trainers

 

 

You will develop training tools and recommend training strategies, and draw up action plans based on them.

 

With the help of your team, you will lead and design the various training and development activities and will be responsible for the quality, monitoring and measurement of their impact.

 

You will have to support, coordinate and develop the trainers and coaches in Sales, Customer Service and Operations.

 

You will ensure that training content and practices are updated while keeping abreast of market trends in order to offer 5 stars customer service.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and implement an action plan to improve the overall skills and performance of employees through creative training activities.
  • Develop and optimize team skills to achieve business objectives, by identifying new skills and behaviors required, as well as development gaps, creating innovative business training and promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a catalyst in all aspects of change management
  • Lead and inspire your team, ensuring that all members are aware of their priorities, developing their skills and ensuring that they are excellent ambassadors throughout the company.
  • Develop and maintain the various subsidy programs

What do you need to be a Director - Training and Development at Yellow Pages?

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in training management positions requiring experience in pedagogical development and team management
  • Expertise in the theory and practice of change management and corporate communications is required.
  • Undergraduate university degree (graduate degree an asset) in humanities and social sciences, organizational development, training management or other relevant field

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong team spirit to work closely with colleagues and various stakeholder groups.
  • Proactivity and ability to implement change to achieve desired project objectives.
  • High capacity for influence and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an agile and fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity and questioning the status quo.
  • Proven experience in project management or ability to deliver high quality initiatives.
  • Bilingualism required.
